GovLaws stores the minimum information needed to provision accounts, authenticate API keys, enforce plan limits, deliver webhooks, and operate billing and MPP flows.
Account data may include email address, Stripe identifiers, API key metadata, usage logs, webhook endpoints, and budget settings. Payment providers and infrastructure vendors process their portions of the transaction flow under their own terms.
GovLaws records API and machine-payment events needed to authenticate requests, meter usage, investigate failures, reconcile payments, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. Query logs may include an endpoint, citation or search query, timing information, key identifier, and response status. Plaintext API keys are not stored after issuance. Webhook secrets are handled separately from public subscription metadata.
Do not submit confidential client facts, privileged communications, credentials, or sensitive personal data in legal search queries. GovLaws is designed for retrieval against public U.S. federal legal sources. Access to account information is limited to operational needs, and third-party providers receive only the data required for their infrastructure, billing, analytics, or payment function.
